Buy & Deliver
Choose Buy & Deliver when you want something bought for you. You describe the item, add a link to it if you have one, and enter the price you expect it to cost. The traveler buys it at the source, uploads the receipt and the real price paid, and brings it to you.
At checkout, you pay the estimated item cost, the traveler's commission and the platform fee. If the receipt shows a lower price than your estimate, the difference comes back to you automatically. If the item costs more, the traveler asks you to approve the increase before buying, and you can decline.
Pick Up & Deliver
Choose Pick Up & Deliver when the item already exists and simply needs to travel: a parcel for a relative, documents, or something you bought elsewhere. The traveler collects it from you or from the person you name, carries it, and hands it over at the other end.
You pay the traveler's commission and the platform fee. There is no item cost, because no purchase is made. You can state a declared value so travelers know what they are carrying. That value is for information only. You must also give the item's weight and size, so a traveler can judge whether it fits the available weight and space. You can add pickup instructions that help the traveler find you.
Which one to pick
Ask one question: does the traveler need to buy anything? If yes, choose Buy & Deliver. If the item is already in someone's hands, choose Pick Up & Deliver.
The type is fixed the moment you post the request. If you chose the wrong one, close the request and post a new one with the right type.
On a traveler's trip, you can choose the type at the top of each proposal, within the services the traveler offers. A counter-offer keeps the type of the proposal it answers.
